Meet the owner, Michael
Over 30 years ago while volunteering at a charity at the beginning of the AIDS pandemic, I was introduced to aromatherapy by a massage therapist who would custom blend formulations based on my wellness needs. They would use it for my massage, then give me the bottle of oils used during my treatment to take home and add to my bath water.
I had never experienced anything so calming and relaxing to my nervous system.
I was intrigued, aware that I was experiencing something that was familiar and
completely new at the same time. I started experimenting, studying the properties of
various aromatherapy oils and blending my own bath formulations.
Soon after, I moved to Las Vegas where my study really took off. I would rub aromatherapy oils on my body and journal what I was feeling. My primary field of
research was transdermal absorption through bathing.
Bathing is my favorite pastime—I find it rejuvenating to all aspects of my body, mind and Soul.
As I studied myself and my experiences this way, I also studied massage therapy and became a massage therapist. This really opened me up to learning so much about the body-mind connection.
I worked at high-volume spas on the Las Vegas strip for 20 years, giving over 20,000
hours of massage therapy. I was as passionate about learning as I was massaging. I was also testing the products I was exposed to, and based on my research, I began
formulating my own products that I would use primarily for my well-being.
I am very physical, and bathing is the quickest way for me to relax my central nervous system into a state of rest. This is when the body performs its own internal repair work during sleep.
Personally, I am constantly in a state of study—evolving, comprehending my
knowledge, and creating. I have a very powerful strength for pushing my neurological
system to its edge, I work out very intensely and love riding my bike.
I cook most everything I eat, I really appreciate music—from classical and opera to glitchy cutting edge electronic, I love being me, being in my body, and sensing my life as deeply and as much as I can.
I meditate and value the light in my life that this practice brings in for me above all else—it is my foundation.
Oh, I take a bath almost every day—in my own soaks
